In Loving Memory Of My Older Brother Isaac Shaw Jr.

Isaac Shaw Junior (May 1963 to August 2009)
Today we are gathered here to honor a great man that began his life being a great son to a wonderful, loving, and caring mother who always gives more than she has to give. From those loving roots, Isaac Shaw blossomed into the great man we have always known him to be.
In addition, with the wisdom of elders, the fine-tuning of his being, and his immutable life prepared him for the great mentoring role he expertly held in life.  Because of his prominent mentoring, three brothers, a sister, and many friends benefited hugely from the many lessons he valiantly taught.
On September 5th, the birth and the continuation of his legacy were ensured. The birth of children, as we all know, is the essence of a family. As a loving, caring, and giving father – nurtured by the soil his roots were planted in – Isaac Shaw Jr. – grew to become and awesome dad. A magnificent father his children are so proud to have had. In them, his legacy lives on.
Isaac Shaw Junior fought and won many of life’s tough battles, knowing that one day he would be faced with a battle without a hint of victory in sight. We all hoped for the best; however, quietly and ever so gently, Isaac Shaw Jr. slipped into that good night. This battle he physically did not win but spiritually he conquered it unanimously.
Once again, we come upon September 5th but unlike the birthing of his living legacies, we gather here to send, Isaac Shaw Junior – A Good Man – home to rest in peace in heaven with his loving father…

Star (Isaac Shaw May 19663 to August 2009)

With the awesome power of Love
       in our great galaxy of being -
Know that no other star
       can shine brighter than you...
Therefore, always
       live and have fun doing so;
Show the world who you ARE
       for in the universe of Life -
You are, the brightest, shining, STAR...

Isaac Shaw Junior May 1963 to August 2009

Dear God,
I never thought it would end like this –
My brother Isaac Shaw Junior;
So suddenly, it all ended – he will be surely missed;

His life and time, I will always remember –
He was so much more to me …,
He played well the game of life,
A captain, a quarterback with all the right moves -
We all loved him so, remembering the good times – not the strife,
It is the choice we should all choose…;

Isaac Shaw Junior,
The son, the brother, the husband, and the Father –
We all shared his life as he shared his life with us – Graciously,
He was a beloved big brother,
Always loving, always a great mentor, and always an excellent friend to thee,

My brother Isaac Shaw Junior
Let us remember and rejoice in him even though he is gone,
God did not take him from us,
He simply called his son – A Great Man – home …

Thank you Jesus for not calling home my little niece Mekenya Siplin. She is so precious and dear to all our hearts. Her untimely passing would have been an unsettling blow to us all at such a tender age of 11 months.

However, if you were to call her home we would have understood and accept it as the plan you have in store for her. Thank so much for immediately answering our prayers.
